The Living Grain
I am deeply curious about the idea of timelessness. What makes something last forever — or at least long enough to become heirloom? From 1930s bias-cut undergarment gowns to 1990s designer chiffon dresses, I am drawn to the question of what allows a garment to exist beyond its decade, beyond its moment, and into something enduring. This is not nostalgia. It is a study in intention.
The garments that survive are the ones that were made with a deep understanding of the body, the fabric, and the human being inside them. That understanding is what I am chasing.
